Ros Jamieson began FTD – Hands & Hearts in 2010 after making a life-changing journey at the end of 2009. On this journey 3 things happened. Ros saw handcrafted Fair Trade goods for the first time, she was confronted by the plight of the poor and also challenged to do something to make a difference. The story of the Boy and the Starfish was told to her many years previously, and the “journey” brought back the impact of that message. FTD’s whole reason for being is based on the truth that we are “making a difference to that one”.
